Children’s Ministry at Faith Community Bible Church exists to glorify God by pointing children to the all-satisfying person of Jesus Christ.

FaithKids is the children's ministry of Faith Community Bible Church in Boise, Idaho, serving babies through 5th grade during our Sunday morning services. Our desire is to provide a safe, joyful, and Bible-centered environment where children learn about Jesus and families feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive. Join us Sundays at 9:00 & 11:00 AM.

For upcoming FaithKids events, visit the Events page. The Events Page is our all-in-one place for upcoming events at FCBC.

One of the greatest privileges within the church body is helping point children toward Christ. FaithKids team members serve by building relationships, teaching God’s Word, offering encouragement, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for families each week.

Whether you enjoy teaching, assisting, greeting families, or caring for little ones, we would love to help you find a place to serve. Please fill out our serve form or email Sara with any questions.

SUNDAYS  |  Weekly

Each Sunday, FaithKids provides a welcoming environment where children from nursery through 5th grade are taught God’s Word in age-appropriate classrooms through worship, teaching, prayer, and relationships.

Using The Biggest Story curriculum, we help children see how all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ while partnering with parents in the discipleship of their children. Our secure check-in process and caring volunteers help families feel welcomed and cared for each week.
AWANA  |  September - April

Our AWANA programs span the school year. You are invited to join us each Tuesday evening from 6:15 - 8:00 PM for AWANA, a fun, Scripture-centered program for kids aged 3 through 8th grade! You are welcome to join at any time throughout the year!
EVENTS  |  Throughout the Year

FaithKids gathers for discipleship, fellowship, family support, and seasonal events designed to help children and families grow together in Christ.

From monthly connection opportunities and family-focused gatherings to camps, celebrations, and outreach events, these moments help build friendships, strengthen families, and create meaningful opportunities for kids to know, love, and follow Jesus alongside the church body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What ages does FaithKids serve?
FaithKids serves babies through 5th grade during both Sunday morning services (9:00 & 11:00 AM).

Classrooms are grouped by age:
Nursery — 0–18 months
Toddlers — 19–36 months
Preschoolers — 3–4 year olds
5 & 6-year-olds
1st Grade
2nd & 3rd Grade
4th & 5th Grade
Do we need to register before Sunday, or can we just show up?
Either option works! You can register your family ahead of time to help speed up the check-in process, or simply visit the FaithKids Check-In station in the main foyer when you arrive.

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the service so we can help you check in your children and you have plenty of time to find your seat before the service begins.
What should we do when we arrive for the first time?
Enter through either main entrance and head toward the FaithKids check-in area near the Children's Ministry wing. A team member will greet you, check your child into our secure system, and walk you through the space so pickup after service is simple and familiar.
What other events does FaithKids offer throughout the year?
Monthly Cookie Sundays for connecting with teachers and other families, a Homeschool Support Group (3rd Friday each month, September–May), Child Dedications, FaithKids Camp (VBS) each summer, Mother's Day Tea, Nerfed Nights, Movie Night, Promotion Sundae, a Father-Daughter Dance, a Parent’s Night Out, a Fall Festival, and a Children's Christmas Choir. Current dates and registration links are always posted on the Events page.
How do we stay updated on what's happening?
Subscribe to the FaithKids weekly newsletter or check the Events page, which is the church's all-in-one calendar for upcoming FaithKids activities.
How do you keep my child safe?
Your child’s safety is one of our highest priorities. Children from birth through 3rd grade receive a secure check-in label that matches their parent or guardian’s pickup label. We verify these labels at checkout to ensure each child is released to the correct adult. Children in 4th and 5th grade may check themselves out at the end of the service.

Every FaithKids staff member and Serve Team member completes a background check and required safety training before serving with children.
Do you accommodate food allergies or special needs?
During registration, we ask families to provide any allergy, medical, or special needs information that will help us care for their child. While we do not have a dedicated special needs ministry, classroom, or specially trained special needs team, we will do our best to work with families and create a welcoming, inclusive environment for every child.
What curriculum do you use?
Preschool through 5th grade uses The Biggest Story, published by Crossway. It walks kids through 104 Bible stories from Genesis to Revelation, showing how every part of Scripture points to Jesus. Each lesson includes teaching, discussion questions, and hands-on activities.

Toddlers follow a separate, age-appropriate curriculum suited to their stage of development.
How does FaithKids partner with parents?
We see parents as the primary disciple-makers in a child's life. Our Sunday teaching, take-home resources, FaithMoms, AWANAs, and events are all designed to support what's already happening at home, not replace it.
What is AWANA and who can join?
AWANA is our Tuesday-night discipleship program where children learn about Jesus, build relationships with caring leaders, memorize Scripture, and discover how God’s Word applies to their everyday lives. Each evening includes an age-appropriate Bible lesson, small-group handbook and Scripture time, and plenty of fun through games and activities.
